By cladistics we are. People tend to hang on to out dated classification systems. A trout is more closely related to you than it is to a shark. If a trout is a fish and a shark is a fish why aren't you, an organism which the trout is more closely related to than a shark not a "fish" also? Cladistics is a classification system that avoids such contradictions.
