Im so glad you missed the ENTIRE point of my post.
I know what you point is: We Christians get off scot-free paying taxes.

And that's just not true, as per the example I gave you (property tax).

In addition, some people come to America to avoid paying their country's exorbitant taxes.

Do you hear them complaining about your point?

They all have (or had, in Sean's case) opposable thumbs.

....ahhh, but that's a fallacy! Because Phil Collins' thumbs are actually boney protrusions that only LOOK like thumbs. He uses them to strip bamboo leaves and eat them.

I'm not sure of the genesis of that idea, but I guess you are saying Phil eats, roots and leaves.

Well that was certainly the original Darwinian prediction..

But the more complete the fossil record has become, the less we see evidence of such slow smooth transitions through many 'microsteps'. And the more we see -not just genera- but entire phyla popping up overnight, in geological timescales.

You will need to be specific about
"entire phyla" and "overnight" for that to
be a debatable point.

You may also want to say what the discovery
of unique fossils scattered over a few hundred
million years actually means, in your scheme.

Fossil creatures known only from one
incomplete speciman from one locality
are common.

What is a reasonable explanation?
That, say, 47,000,000 years ago there was
one of these creatures (part of one)
No ancestors, no siblings, no descendants?

Some other reason there is only one
specimen?

Cambrian explosion, among others

What does it mean to you, if we dig into the past and find similarities, some gaps, jumps, dead ends even, but a general progression towards increased sophistication and new emergent properties?

First question is lacking in any specifics I asked for.

On the second-
Asking a vague many moving parts question
is not an answer at all.

If I were 40 years younger, and if somebody would send me an application form, I would apply for the job myself.
As far as I know, you wouldn't qualify.

Are you a homosexual?

Daniel 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

Well, it would be just one more unsuccessful job application.

Are you a homosexual?

Certainly not; I was married for nearly 17 years, and I have never had a homosexual relationship. Weren't you ever taught that it's rude to ask personal questions?

Daniel 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

I think that this is a prophecy of Antiochus IV Epiphanes (ca. 215-164 BCE), not the Antichrist.

Been there - done that.

Likewise.

Just trying to save you the effort of applying for a job that you're not qualified.

If you think it's rude of me to ask, just wait until you have to answer it on an application!

Antiochus was a type of the Antichrist, who is to come.

I believe the term is: prophetic foreshortening (or partial fulfillment).

Something like that.

could this also be read that he will not regard the desire of women because he is self-absorbed and magnifies himself above all? Does it have to mean the antichrist is gay? Just a side note. (But I can also see that it might be helpful to just get a few more digs in at the gay people...the OT wasn't always kind to them.)
