Fair enough, but I've get a discussion going in another thread about how the Gospel writers were cooking the books, as it were. Knowing that they had the Old Testament's prophecies open in front of them, can we trust them not to juggle the facts?

But if the bible is made up, then there's no prophecies that has come true. The people who wrote the bible knew about the old testament, and knew about the prophecies. It's like a sequal.

So I'm asking him how he went from believing in a God, to believing those stories are actually true, and therefore believe in the God of the Bible

The account in G2 was written several hundred years later than G1, and used a different Hebrew dialect, and the creation account is in a different order.
