I think its easy for most people who wont be fighting the actual war to say "go for it!", however myself i have a few doubts on both sides. For one Bush reminds me of a wolf in sheeps clothing and I never could shake the feeling I got about him. For another Iraq as a people are pretty poor arent they? The people are already starving, if the US would leave off the oil that is Iraq's profit would they even be able to afford to have a war? I don't know? I think the US public is being fed only major information that will make them eager-beavers for war. Also, why are we focusing on Iraq instead of North Korea? i seem to remember reading something about them practicing with weapons and them not being too happy with us either? Lol can you tell i don't look at tv or newspapers much? work too much probably. Anyhow, I think someone on here mentioned that if the war was brought to our soil we'd think differently and I'm sure theyre right, war damages any country and even if they win their countries are so damaged theyre pretty much still losers. I think the US is in debt heavily and we will be in debt for the rest of our lives, our children's lives, their children's lives and the lives of all the generations after that I'm sure, and even we can be damaged when it comes to the economy, and I'm fairly certain that if any of the major UN contributors ever decided to wage war with someone else against us we'd be pretty hard pressed.....besides what would everyone do without the gas to run their lovely little cars that people seem to live in?

I find it really hard to take that people complain about Bush not doing what he says he's doing... people didn't have that problem with Clinton quite as much :p

Yes, well, I can't say I liked the fact that we intentionally "lost" the Korean war.....

We are in debt heavily, who do we blame for that?....

Major UN contributors - that's us :D hehe. As for the waging war part ..... yes, we might be hard pressed... that's why we should STRENGTHEN our military, not walk around and try to make resolutions forever that WE keep and that the other countries don't.

=)

Really, it's hard for me to not get excited when people are misled by the media. The media hypes up the "huge" spending cost of any war, when in reality, we spend more on medicaid and all kinds of these types of programs that really might not be such a good idea anyways....

If the war was brought to our country, it would be very different. we would want to win and win fast. So why sit around and wait for it to come here? We know Hussein has weapons, we know he hates us, and we know he's been lieing forever about them. According to that 1440 or whatever resolution that everyone keeps talking about (which, by the way, has been completely broken by Hussein).... according to that, we should be doing something about the weapons and stuff in Iraq. But we're not.

It seems to me like we just keep lengthening the deadline for the so-called "disarmament." Why? We've been giving him new deadlines for years now :D hehe.

/me gets off his soapbox :o

/me is hungry. hehe
