For my father

I want to thank you all for keeping us in your hearts and prayers during this very trying time. When my cousin, Shellie, was delivering the eulogy, and when the chaplain was telling us about my dad, I was reminded of one of my favorite songs, "Live Forever" by Billy Joe Shaver:

My dad will live forever, as long as we remember him.

I see in your profile that you were born on the sixth? I was born on the seventh! I guess it won't be too hard to remember your birthday, huh?

I'm so very sorry for your loss, I lost my Dad right after the holidays almost ten years ago and although I miss him so much, I know that I'll see him one day. My Dad is always around mingled in the memories we all carry, I pray for you and my God bless your family.

I pray that we will all reunite one day, it is promised.
