This is a Biblical worldview test. It's free & if you score high enough, you can print out a certificate.
It seems to be a pretty denomination-blind test: it just tests how Biblically you process info & news & politics. Either you'll get a feeling of pride in your accomplishments (JK, I can't get the little laughin' smiley to work for me today ) or you'll see areas you need to take every though captive in.

I don't know that anyone needs to respond to this, have fun!

I made an 85%, strong Biblical worldview thinker. Many of the questions I "missed" were ones I misread. The others had to do with civil government and law. I've never given that aspect of the Bible a strong read so my views are still a little secular there.

Lotar,

I'm sure you've read the Proverbs before. The Proverbs are full of sayings that deal with capitalsim. Perhaps tonight I can cite some of these.

Sure, Captitalism has bad points, but its the motives of humans that can make capitalism evil. Just my unbacked opinion at the moment.

God Bless

Whoa! Lotar,

Don't get so defensive. I didn't call you names or anything. I'd love for you to cite where in Acts or the Gospels that we shouldn't have a flat tax. I realise the Bible is not going to say ,"Thou shalt not have a flat tax." But I realise that it can be interpreted from things that the Lord said.

I'm sorry if I came off offensive.

I'm not offended by you. I'm angry at these brainwash groups that constantly push the far right captialist agenda as a Christian ideal.

The early church would bring everything they had together and shared, so that none would go wanting. Jesus talk repeatedly of giving and sharing withthose who have less than us. Even in the OT we read of helping the widows and the downtrodden. Even parts of the Mosaic Law had socialistic programs in it.

Capitalism is a system based of people's greed. That people will work harder becase they want more and better stuff. I do not see how that is in any way compatible with the Christian "world view."

I find it ironic that these groups feel that it is our responsibility to enforce Christian morals on the general population, unless those morals might touch their money.

None of the civil law in the Bible required the government dealing with money. God blesses us with money so that we can bless others, it is not up to the government to enforce that and it is not commanded anywhere. The church should be the teacher of that giving. It is not the goverments responsibility to enforce monetary equality as monetary equality is never taught in Bible. I can back this up with scripture.

Have you ever read the Mosiac Law? It deals with money.

We were not asked, but commanded to be generous and give to those in need. Now are you telling me that it is the governments job to make sure that gay people don't marry, but it isn't it's job to make sure that the poor get food and medical care?

I never said the government shouldn't care for it's subjects. I said they shouldn't equalize wealth. I have read the mosaic law, quite frequently, all 613 points of it. It is never the governments job to distribute wealth, it is the job of governemt to care for it's citizens. It is the government's job to uphold morality and homosexuality is immoral. But this thread isn't about debate on this topic, it's for the test. If you want to start a thread to discuss the responsibilities of government I will be more than happy to partcipate.

I totally agree. Don't worry, you and I can be Socialist scum together, along with Jesus apparently! LOL.

I only follow what the Son of God said and live by His words alone. I don't think He'd be too thrilled about me being more concerned over material and status aspirations like it seems the majority of Americans are today. My brother in law to be is out of a job and more concerned about keeping up with the Jones' than feeding his two babies.

This is why I think TV (commercials) is poison, but that's another thread!

;)

This definately does have to do with the test. This is a test that is pushing a political agenda as Christian morals.

Luke 3:11
And he would answer and say to them, "The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise."

Sure sounds like distributing the wealth to me.

It was painfully obvious reading the questions. I was tempted to answer the 'right' i.e. complete right wing fundie way just so I could give myself a little ego boost when they'd flash the big WINNER gif at me.

After the first few questions I was ammused, but by the end I was angry and offended. Just one word continued to pop in my head "PROPAGANDA"

I got a 54%, I almost went back to see if I could get a lower score.

I won't start another thread for this, because I am directly talking about this test.

I got your 54% beat. I was almost the lowest life form on the planet, a Communist! Can you believe that? I mean really the idea of wanting equal prosperity for all is pretty heinous and Satanic.

Anyway, sorry to the OP for getting your poor thread so off topic, but I guess that's what happens when you post such a ridiculously biased test. I'll bow out now, adieu!

A quick note before I have to leave. Yes, the test did have a right winged agenda. If that agenda is Biblical, then it is not a right winged agenda, but a Biblical one. That should be our point of discussion.

Forgive my not backing this with scripture, but I'm in a hurry. I believe it is the Church's job to take care of the poor, not the government. A quick example. The Baptist church I used to attend has used what I can imagine is a large sum of money to renovate the exterior of the building so that it has a better appearance. Also, the church offices now look like the offices of a Fortune 500 executive branch! Is this what the church is here for? To make sure that the pastor can look like an executive?

The church is here to look after the sheep, not the government. More later.

God Bless

Wow! I got halfway through the test and quit. There were so many loaded questions. Let's see... One was (and I paraphrase) "I believe that physically and mentally healthy adults who do not work should not be protected from the consequences of their' ... decision, actions, something like that. Well, I have a friend whose husband was fired between Thanksgiving and Christmas only because the window company two of his customers ordered from got the order wrong. He's still looking for a job. His wife works part-time so that she can be home after school to look after their children. Since they previously depended on the health insurance provided through his job, her check is now less than it was because she's now paying to have the insurance through her place of employment. $12.00/hr gross for 24 hrs per week for a family of four less taxes and health insurance. But, hey, there's never any excuse for a healthy person being out of work, right?
