  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There's no way I'm going to have the attention span to read that and four other books right now.

I'm sorry, I was responding to your statement:

If you want to discuss something, then post WHATEVER it is, no matter how deep or scientific, and I'll try as best as I can to answer.

I guess you didn't mean it when you said "no matter how deep or scientific".

What is in your opinion the best argument. Copy and Paste a sliver or explain it. PLEASE lol don't make it long.

There is no one "best" argument. IMO the best argument is that all these lines of evidence have the possibility to falsify evolution and yet all are remarkably consistent with what we would expect if evolution were true.

  That's hardly a "Website".

And he asked for a single topic that he can focus his attention on for the discussion.

Forget it then. I want to discuss something, anything, but you gave me a website. If you have a question great, but I'm not going to read an entire website.

It's not like I gave you an entire encyclopedia. How do you expect to learn anything if you're not willing to apply the effort to read about it?

Or are you not interested in learning about evolution since your mind is already made up on the subject?

No, this is what he said (emphasis mine):

If you want to discuss something, then post WHATEVER it is, no matter how deep or scientific, and I'll try as best as I can to answer.

Apparently now he's backing away from his statement.

And that wasn't his only statement either.  He asked for a focused post of YOURS to discuss, as he has a problem reading long things.

No. He asked LiveFreeorDie to post anything, no matter how deep or detailed.

LFoD was even nice about it. He posted one the best-written FAQs on the net, already subdivided into 26 different (and independent) sections.

Which means, of course, that DOF77 merely has to address one tiny bit at a time. It's not 10 pages of esoteric chemistry.
