Peace in Christ.
Again, the Son of man….the life of Jesus…is to be made manifest (SHINE) in our mortal flesh for this world to see. The "Son of man" speaks of His life being made manifest in mortal flesh.
The people of this world are sitting in deep darkness….and they need to see the great light of Christ shining in us. This is the revealing of the Son of man.
2Co 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
When the Son of man is manifested in our mortal flesh (the life of Christ appears there), then we shall appear with Him in glory. His coming is with great power and glory.
Col 3:4 KJV
(4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
The coming…that is, the PRESENCE…of the Son of man is as the lightning (Greek: astrape- bright shining).
It comes out of the “east” (Greek: anatole-From G393; a rising of light, that is, dawn (figuratively); by implication the east (also in plural): - dayspring, east, rising).
It shines unto the “west” (Greek: dusmē - From G1416; the sun set, that is, (by implication) the western region: - west.) The “west” is in darkness because the sun had set in that area.
Mat 24:27
(27) For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming (presence) of the Son of man be.
We are to “arise” and “shine”. The light is come (from the “east”…the dawning of His light within our hearts)…and it shines unto the “west”…toward those people of this world who are in darkness who will then see His glory light in us.
Their darkened hearts shall break forth with light in our presence….in the presence of the Son of man which is manifested in our mortal flesh.
Isa 60:1-3 KJV
(1) Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
(2) For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
(3) And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
The LORD shall arise upon us....and His glory shall be seen upon us.
The “dayspring” (Greek: anatole…the dawn of light) from on high visits us (the presence of the Son of man is revealed in our mortal flesh).
He shines in us…and that light shines even unto the “west” to give light to them that sit in darkness (in the “west” where the sun had already set).
Luk 1:77-79 KJV
(77) To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
(78) Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
(79) To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
