Who here has seen the funniest, most random anime show ever? It takes a while for you to actually be able to understand it. But, who has actually seen it? It makes fun of a lot of other shows like South Park and Lupin the 3rd.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's great, although I didn't really understand it until I'd seen it about 3 times. Too bad they stopped putting the little booklets of random stuff/translation notes in the DVDs...

Yeah this is one of the most random anime ive seen. Esp. the part of hitting things with the bass guitars, heh.... and i never did figure out what the heck was up with those eyebrows.

FLCL was very interesting, to say the least. I have vowed to never watch it again, though. I don't like watching something, then frying my brain for days trying to figure out what it means. Bleh.

I think the problem is that people try to find a big secret meaning behind FLCL. I doubt there is one. It seems to me that a lot the series was designed either for laughs or to make you think, "wait a minute... did that really happen?!?"

That is fine Susan, and my friend says there are some hidden political messages in it, but I don't know. I just notice it makes fun of a lot of other anime shows and other cartoons like South Park. It was made in the back of a manga place so that is why it is random

Fooly Cooly truly rocks for an anime series that is less than ten episodes. To fully understand it though one must be familiar with the japanese culture and understand how certain words are being used.
