What are some of you guys favorite restaurants/chains? Arby's has a pretty good deal going right. Between the hours of 2 and 5, you can get their assortment of "sliders" for only a dollar. I was a little early for the sale, but I picked up a few today. They were a little slow getting the order out so they gave me a free orange milkshake for the wait.

Wines. Is anyone here a connoisseur of it? I thought about making my own thread for it, but this one will work just as good. I was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations for classy wine that tastes good.

I love me some Arby's. :satisfied: How was your shake? And how were the sliders? Which ones did you try? Did you try the pizza one? Lol

My favorite chain I think is Taco Bell. But I eat McD's a lot, Arby's, Wendys, we have a local place called BoJangles but I think that might just be a VA/NC/SC thing, I can't remember if they have them in Tenn?

I drink wine. Does that make me connoisseur enough? :satisfied:

OH!! You live in TN, don't you? Get Tennessee Valley. Hands down my favorite. One year for my birthday my ex (and still good friend) bought me some tennessee valley wine for my birthday, blackberry wine, and it was.. the best.. wine..Ever. Ever. Lol

I also drink Sutter Home, Arbor Mist, and Yellow Tail.

I personally love fruity wines like strawberry, blackberry, citrus, etc. I love Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.

I liked Cheesecake Factory dumplings only, Checkers and Rallys, Zankou''s Chicken (LA), Chick Fil A and Koronet''s Pizza (NYC not chain, but should be.)

Those are good wines especially to have accessible "at the table" to drink on occasion. I like Yellow Tail.

Me too! I just tried my first bottle at the first of this year. I need to go and buy some more. I'm completely out of wine. :(

I also would like to try Duplin Wine and also Cupcake (brand).

NC has some really good wines that I'd love to try like Scuppernog (sp?) wine, Biltmore Wine, and so on. Lots of different wines down at the coast and up in the mountains. Would love to do a wine tasting sometime as well.

You (and anyone else) should research food and wine tours. Usually they last the entire day, you get a guide to take you around "old time" regions within your city, drinking wines and eating cheeses. Some also have dinners or lunches; some are food tours that pair a wine (or beer). They are usually walking tours.

I found these for NC

Walking Tours | Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours

Asheville NC Wineries & Winery Tours
Yadkin Valley Wine Tours

My number one favorite is Dairy Queen. My second favorite would be Whataburger. As you can tell I am a huge burger fan. But there has to be cheese. Cheese is goooooood.

We have a local place that has a great burger. It's a "steak burger" made with sirloin I believe. It's so yummy. They put cheese, and toast the bun. And.. my mouth is watering just thinking about it haha
