I was raised as a christian, but I have rededicated my life to God and I have accepted Jesus as my savor again. I rededicated my life about four years ago when I first started attending my youth group.
well, I had a high for the lord for the first two years and then I fell away. I still attend y/g but I don't believe most of the time. I have been debating creation with evolution b/c life is simply down to one or the other, in my book.
I can't believe until I have reliable evidence, concrete facts that proves that the Bible is true; the bible's books just seem like unrealistic stories, are they stories or events?
if you know of any good web sites or books, please let me know. I'm reading the case for christ and evidence that demands a verdict but they just are not providing me with the information which I want

Please be aware that there are many Christians who do believe in a form of evolution called theistic evolution. I am not one of them, but they do exist. So if the creation/evolution problem is something that you are struggling with, you don't need to throw out your entire faith because of it. Believe it or not, creation/evolution is one of those topics that Christians can agree to disagree on without being any less Christian. If you would like to talk with Christians who have fairly strong opinions on one side or the other of this issue, there are many over at the Origins Theology board on this forum. While their opinions on creation/evolution differ from each other, many on both sides of the issue are very strong Christians.

For me I guess it doesnt take as much. The Lord has shown me through interesting places, like I have been watching the History channel, and they have a show called "Digging For The Truth" on it. Now I dont know if their purpose is to prove scriptures when they do an episode on bible stuff or not, but I absolutely love those episodes.

Recently I have seen an episode on the queen of sheba, and also one on sodom and gomorrah. Now in the one of queen of sheba he wasnt able to actually tell for sure her palace, but I believe it shows her region or kingdom, which was bigger than we thought. Also a different language. And they also showed frankenscense, and it was still being havested the exact same way since the time of Sheba.

Little things like this to me, show evidence of truth.

The one on Sodom they never found any ruins. But what absolutely fascinated me was they found Brimstone! And then they burned it, so amazing! I have never seen brimstone in my life, in fact scriptures is the only place I had heard about it, and here it was out in a place where they were looking for Sodom! Now to me, I was like yeah!!! Because God said he utterly destroyed them and to me that means hey nothing left, but perhaps....BRIMSTONE!

So not only do I learn neat things, but it causes me to believe scriptures.

I was even flipping through channels one day and came across something about Niagra falls and how it is erroding. While I was watching this, they said from some of the stones there that was how they came up with the old earth theory, which then from that Darwin was able to create his theory of evolution! All from rocks at Niagra Falls!

So I am sitting here thinking, how is it possible to take one small idea, using a rock to base so many idea's on. And then we have the scriptures, not one idea, but many people's lives and how God interacted with them. And we cant believe a fact. Yet man will easily be swayed by a theory.

So anyways my friend, in viewing even movies like I have, stick to facts. Not opinions and ideas. I came away from the show seeing things I hadnt seen before, brimstone, and frankenscense.

The interesting thing about Truth, is it will remain. Lies fade away, but truth is a strong foundation.
