I'm a bit worn out from the apologetics forum so I though I would spend a little time to focus on the things we love about Jesus and what he means to us. Sometimes we get so bogged down in theory we forget about HIM!!

I was just having my quiet time and I was reminded what I love about Jesus is how incredibly big he is. I was reminded how he brings us all together, no matter what country or people group we are from. I was remembering how a few years ago I wasin a conference with people from many different countries and how the messianic jewish speaker and a palestian pastor asked forgivness from each other on behalf of their people groups and how powerful that was, and then how others followed in their footsteps, japanese and koreans, english and irish. I see God's bigness in the way he has deposited a unique aspect of himself in all cultures. The Koreans are really gifted at prayer, the americans at giving, the latinos in passionate praise, the northern europeans in intellectual thought. Maybe you would like to share the things you love about Jesus?

I love the way that he (God) speaks through his son, Jesus. We are told by the prophet John, that in the beginning there was THE WORD and the word was with God. And that no man has ever seen or heard God, yet he spoke to the old prophets. (was this Jesus speaking) Was Jesus always with him, from the very beginning; yet brought to us through the flesh so that we could all be saved? In the book of Revelation, at the beginning we see a vision of the son of man; "I am the alpha and the Omega, the first and the last..." We are told sooo many important things by him; to keep his commandments, and to love one another, so that he (Jesus) will tell his father when we all stand before him. We are told by Jesus, Noone goes to the father but through me. It is simply amazing, how we have all been given his love, through his words.

There are so many things, to Love about our Lord.

The thing that amazes me so is the fact, that he would actually come to earth and die in my place.
I a ungrateful and deserving one.Still he loved me and died for me.
That time and time again I heard the Gospel and ignored and ridiculed it. Still he Loved me and died for me.
the fact that he took me as I am, full of sin and self-intrest and Still he Loves me and he died for me.
the days that I am week in faith and my heart wanders. he corrects, and forgives me, and Still he loves me and died for me.

Why did he save me???
did I deserve it? No!
did I earn it? NO!
was I good enough? No!
why then? why?

Because He Loves Me :))))))

and He Loves All of You too :)))))

I listen to the Bible on casette and am going through Leviticus. I get the feeling that God takes sin very seriously. To understand that Jesus fulfilled the law is a very awsome thing. The law is so strict and often missunderstood......(by me)at times.

Yes he paid for my sins and that is very larg in itself. Fulfilling the law is much larger to me. The law leads to Jesus and his life fulfilled prophecy and realized symbols of the Old Testament.

There is a suffering that Jesus went through for me that is often over looked. That is the divine curse the anathama curse. This Jesus experienced for me and I probably will never understand the full impact of this.....this side of heaven anyway.
