  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello friends!

Well, it's that time of the year where I have to board on a plane once again and fly home for the holidays.  I'm flying out to the west coast early tomorrow morning,Tuesday Dec. 24.  My plane leaves at 6:15AM and arrives into Seattle sometime around noon.  If you could all please keep me in your prayers tomorrow I would really appreciate it.  I'm not too thrilled with flying (but I am starting to getting better with it!), but what's good I guess, is that I am constantly making myself face this fear by getting on a plane about 2-3 times a year. Please pray that it will be a safe and uneventful plane ride; and also please pray for my peace of mind.  I really, really appreciate you taking the time to pray!

LOL--God is good!  When I flew to Green Bay back in the late spring, I was seated beside a very handsome Coast Guard fellow.  Needless to say, while we were talking, I forgot I was even flying!  Hope you have an equally eventful flight on the way home!  :D
