  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

T- Total Depravity. This is an often misunderstood phrase, we don't teach that man is as utterly depraved as he can be, but due to sin in his natural state he cannot chose God because he acts according to his will and desires.

U - Unconditional election. God selects who will be saved before their birth based on no condition of their own because there is nothing of them that could merit eternal life.

L - Limited Atonement. Christ's death was intended only for the elect, and is only effacious for them. Christ actually accomplished their salvation on the cross, and did not waste any shed blood.

I - Irresistable Grace. Another misunderstood phrase, this does not teach that men do not resist God, for such would be a clear contradiction with the scriptures. What it does teach is that the one who is elected by the Father cannot overthrow his plan. This is another term for "regenration".

P - Perserverence of the Saints. The elect in Christ perservere because God truly accomplishes his plan for their lives, and preserves them to the end. This is not a denial that sanctification is a cooperative process, but that it is part of an unbreakable chain of redemption/salvation (Romans 8:29-30).
