There once was a monastery where some friars lived and it was in need of repairs. The friars didn't have any money for the repairs but they thought "Hey, were pretty good at growing flowers, let's sell them in the marketplace to raise money". So the friars went to town with their flowers to sell. The town was quite small and there was already a florist there. He didn't like the idea of competition so he went to talk to them. They told him this was all they could do to raise money and it was badly needed. In fact the townsfolk started to buy all their flowers from the friars. The florist was worried for his business and needed to get these friars out of here, so he went to the local tavern and found the meanest guy in town. His name was Hugh. The florist told him of his dilemma and paid him to scare the friars out of business. That evening Hugh went to see the friars and started to smash their flower pots, rip out their flowers and threaten them with a beating if they didn't leave. The friars packed up shop and left town.
The moral of the story is that only Hugh can prevent florist friars.
