Erwin has implemented a wiki for CF. You can look at it in its embryonic state here.

To get it to grow beyond its embryonic state, the wiki need articles. It needs people to edit other articles.

It needs you.

To keep the CF wiki from being more troll-infested than the underside of the Billy Goats Gruff's bridge, the wiki can only be modified by members of the wiki team, although anyone can read it.

In a lot of ways, the CF wiki should be something like General Theology, but a bit better organized. In addition, the fact that there are lots of potential authors and editors should help the wiki to eventually stabilize as a good source of information on a lot of the topics that we discuss in GT.

You're probably saying right now, "But CaDan, how can I take advantage of this fine opportunity? Surely it will cost thousands of blessings and I just spent all my blessings on a new outfit for my CF character!"

Not to fear! It costs nothing to joing the CF Wiki Team. Not a single one of your hard-earned blessings will leave your CF bank account.

To take advantage of this offer, you just have to send a PM to me. Then, through the power of Teh Intraweb and Erwin's mad vBulletin skillz, I will be able to make you a member of the CF Wiki Team.

:D
:D It's just that easy! :D
:D

Not only will you be able to post and edit articles, you'll also qualify for the stylish WIKI adornment you see on this post. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that your work won't just fall off the front page of GT!

Get in on the ground floor. Be the first to write an article on whatever topic moves you. Join the CF Wiki Team!

I just had a little look at the Wiki, and wanted to encourage people to join. This is a great opportunity to put forth good doctrine. If we decline, it will go ahead anyway, but if we do it then we can be secure it says what we believe.

For instance Sola Scripture has already been started.... it's not saying much, but I'll bet someone here can do a really good job of explaining it clearly and simply. I have read some amazing things here in SR that I may not have been exposed to if I didn't come in here. There is a lot of good thinking going on in your heads. This is something that people will read. For example when they read sola scripture being criticised in GT and wonder what it means some will go there to have a look. Wouldn't it be great if there was a well thought out article on it, written by somone who believes it (I am not implying this isn't the case currently - I am not familiar with the current author's view of sola scripture - I was just using this as an example).

Please have a think and get involved, otherwise it will go ahead without our input and then we have little recourse.

And, I'd like to add--as someone who has read a great deal of church history and theology--that what is criticized as sola scriptura bears no resemblance at all to the actual doctrine.

That is, unfortunately, the case with many controversial issues in Christianity. We waste a lot of time fighting over caricatures and misunderstandings of issues.

My hope is that, in the end, we can pound out the things we have been fighting about for no reason. Are there real points of disagreement about doctrine? You bet. And I would rather that we focus on those things rather than on peripheral issues where we actually agree, but use different terms to describe things.

Oh...and the last thing you want is ME trying to uphold Reformed doctrine. I is a teeny tiny fish with training wheels.

I know what you mean. That's why I am trying to encourage those who are really up on this stuff to write some stuff.

Ultimately though, it's probably still better written by someone who recognises the importance of the doctrine than someone who doesn't..... even if it's basic.

Perhaps if people are unsure they could run it by SR before posting the article???? Just a thought.
