it like WAY advanced for an anime/manga watever artistically.

Yeah, I think that's what I like about it so much. The animation was different than a lot of anime that I had seen. It seemed more advanced in some way. The best animation were the couple matrix-style shots that rotate 360 degrees around the characters several times (i.e. when Naota get's hit witht the Vespa again, goes flying through the air and smacks into the the mayor's daughter).

I have really enjoyed FLCL. It has to be one of my favorite animes on my list up there with Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, and Inuyasha. Funniest anime ever. Too bad its only 7 episodes .

I don't think they finished it in volume 2...I'm not sure though. I always forget whether they went through 2 of the episodes per volume or more, or if there are more chapters in the volume than there are episodes in the anime...The last episode was pretty long compared to the rest. How long is a normal episode of FLCL (w/ commercials)? 15-20 minutes? Than the last episode was probably somewhere between 20-25 or so minutes long.

Indeed! Just imagine what could happen if animators were given that sort of freedom more often.

When I watched the first episode for the first time, I sat there for 5 minutes staring at the tv. Now that i've watched them all though, FLCL is amasing and I love it.
