You HAVE heard of it - it's been mentioned/explained several times in these flat earth threads.

It's not ridiculous to believe scientific facts. What is ridiculous is someone who "can't get their head around science" attempting to claim that they are wrong.

It has not been moved from its foundation.
Interestingly, in the Greek Septuagint it is written as "οὐ κλιθήσεται", the root of which is "κλίνω":

to cause to slope
to tip over
to pour out
to lay down; to rest
to incline, bend, bow
to lean from the vertical position
to incline (the ear, i.e., pay attention)
to turn toward
to totter, reel, fall
to come to an end, decline, be far spent (e.g., the day is far spent)
to draw near to the end point
to turn (in a certain direction)
to cause to turn aside from (the right path)
to make subservient, subjugate

and the passive meaning:

to lean, fall (over)
to bow down
to turn to flight

It seems that the meaning is more along the lines of not failing rather than not moving.

As you agree with the first bit of his post, I assume that means you agree with the rest of it - that the words used actually mean that the earth cannot fail, or fall, rather than it cannot move.

And if you don't, then you are quoting it out of context to make it sound like @prodromos agrees with you when that is not what he is saying at all.

Honestly all the time growing up, I never thought that so many people believed that the earth orbits the sun, I've always thought of the sun moving across the sky along with the moon and the stars & still do.

The verse is referring to the land that God brought forth from under the waters, it came forth as dry land.

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. The land underneath the dry land is also part of the earth but not part of the dry land and not a place where humans would live.

It did not rain on the earth till after the flood or
