CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hello flag persons!
This is the flag that I bought from www.jesuspaintings.com , and I have used it in church a few times. People think it is just an awesome flag, and I agree.

The new name is just purrrrrfect for us flag people, my sis! It is fun that flag men join us in this thread. 
You should see our pastor waving flags! He picks up the big purple one when we are singing about Jesus the King of Kings and a big red one is also among his favorite flags. One of the guys in church has made a neat little piece of ''flag furniture'', with holes for all the flags I made and donated to our church. Maybe I should take a pic of it one day soon and show you.

I agree, dear flaglady. The transparent shiny fabrics move and float so beautifully. Today I made a white big flag for our church and will bring it with me tomorrow. It is shiny, silky and a bit transparent. Just beautiful!

I was with you all in spirit today!
As I sat in the Baptist church singing a praise song,
I used my sanctified imagination to imagine the front
of the room being filled with worshipers,
dancing and jumping and waving big flags!
It was the most wonderful worship I have had in a long time.
I had a grin on my face, and probably looked like the cat
who got the canary because no one had any way of knowing
I was in the Spirit, dancing and whirling and waving to my heart's content!

Me too, FW, me too!! We did "Happy Days" and all but raised the roofso exhuberant was the worship. After about 40 minutes of such worship, I'm about out for the count and was barely able to walk back to my seat!

Happy Days is a worship song in our team's repertoire. To be honest, I'd never heard it before but everyone else in the church seemed to know it and there was much bouncing around and waving of hands! Someone said after that they felt the heavens had opened above us!

No, not that one though it has a similar bouncy tune and rhythm. I've spent ages searching out the lyrics for you to no avail! I'll just have to ring the worship leader ... !!

I found out from our worship leader last night - the song is a brand new release by Tim Hughes on the Soul Survivor cd "Love Came Down".
I've ordered it already and when I get it I'll put some of the lyrics on here for you.
