FIXED: Database error

Funny how things like this happen while I'm sleeping. One of the database tables became corrupted causing members to be unable to read threads for about 2 hours. To be honest, I have no idea how or why - but it was an easy fix, praise God. Luckily I woke up at 5 am and checked CF.

It's all working now. Thanks for your patience, and my apologies. Now back to sleep!

Sorry, had to reboot the mysql server to ensure there is no further errors.... I think I had too much RAM used up in our key buffer....

Sorry, no sleep for me. Had to take the database and slave servers offline to clean up the post table, then replicate it on the slave server, which took an hour.

All is working fine now.

It's because I had to upgrade, downgrade, upgrade, downgrade between MySQL 4.1 and 5.1 - both have slightly different database schemas.

but seemingly not as successful - and I bet even Erwin would opt for the sledge hammer method if it meant he had a whole week with normal night's sleep and no cyber emergencies
