  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Even for kings, aren't there different sizes to account for things like pillow tops/etc?

Like - we have a double pillow top California King (one side is meant to disburse heat to keep you cool in the summer months - the other is meant to retain it to keep you warm during the winter). We got one for that - and it fits just fine.

Now - if we could just orient it the right way each time.. You'd think there were 50/50 odds we'd get it right each time we put it on...but...it sure doesn't work out that way.

I don't know about different sizes within one bed size. We have a dounle, with a highly padded pillow top. so we use queen size sheets. It works pretty well, but not perfectly. The sheet stays on throughout the night, but, before bed the next night, we have to refit the sheet. However, I should note, that by the time I get up in the morning, all of the top sheets, etc. need adjusted, lol.

Fixed. :sohappy: After buying some rather expensive sheets and a mattress pad

I made my husband laugh this morning because I told him I dreamed our sheets came off the bed during the night and I was all mad in my sleep. I was relieved to find that was untrue when I woke up.

LOL I'm really glad you found some solutions to this! My first thoughts when I saw the thread title were

a) your sheets are too small/pockets are too shallow
b) the elastics have stretched/sheets have shrunk/need to be replaced
c) you have them on sideways LOL
d) you have poor quality sheets

As far as folding fitted sheets, my Nana taught me how back when I was about 9 years old, I have NEVER had a problem folding them, ever.

It's really easy, actually. You put the tips of your fingers in the pocket part, and match the two opposite points of the pocket together and tuck them together, fold first lengthwise then end-to-end. The effect looks like a baby's bath towel hood kind of effect over your hand. Then you can lay the sheet flat and simply fold the pocket hems flat along the sheet. from there you have a flat product to fold just like normal.

Watch Niffer's video up there, it's PERFECT.
