CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That's already part of the hypothesis--it appears you've just cut the evolutionary reasons out.
First off, perhaps unfortunately for you, your humor was pretty much indistinguishable from the honest complaints of many creationists. Plus, my sense of humor runs at least 90 degrees off most other peoples'.
Secondly, I don't "actively believe" the hypothesis; it appears valid and reasonable, and would say it sounds like our best guess yet. Further, I don't hold evolutionary theories in the same regard as creationists hold to their dogmas. If any evolutionary theory were disproven, I'd drop the theory without complaint. The problem is that creationist attempts at disproving evolution--or even doing science--have been shown, time and again, to be riddled with error and sometimes even complete fabrication. Thus, their track record would indicate that it is unlikely that they would ever successfully come up with a scientific falsification of much of anything.
I look to the scientific community to come up with reasonable disproofs, not the religious.

iifrit, I am sorry you feel that way. But I didn't place myself in an attack stance in this thread. I was finding some humour but it was not directed at evolution as a theory in principle. I do often have strong counter debates with evolutionists in the same way as evolutionists debate strongly with creationists. I do make some humour out of Christian threads too but I do try so in taste. On reflection, I see my humour was outside of good taste and was not meant as a personal vendetta to you or any other forum member. I humbly apologise.
