Hey Guys,

I've just started getting into Fishing, its fun!

I haven't caught a fish; but was hoping prayer would increase my chances haha.

I fish off some rocks in this very small bay, you have to walk along a very high track to get to this bay and its difficult to get down to the rocks. The water is very deep so should be good fishing there; I got heaps of noticeable bites but didn't hook any.

Its my first true hobby that i've discovered after being addicted to computer gaming all my teenage life and guess what the bay is called.

I go fishing occasionally (not very often at all actually), and this is something I wish I could do more often. I would have to say that I do it about two or three times a year. Nevertheless, school is occupying most of my time, and that's also a reason I could not make it to the recent family hunting trip.

Two Words Live Bait, learn about the fish, find out what they are eating and fish with that!

Fishing is a great time to relax and hang out with the Lord

If they are hitting your hook but not staying on you might want to try a smaller hook, and if you are using live bait don't let the hook show, and most of all don't forget to set the hook and keep a tight line... hope this helps

Fishing is a game of patience! you need lot's of it!
I normally fish with two lines..one on the bottom for catfish, the other-bobber for crappy and bream.
Sometimes I go to the coast and try for flounder using shrimp for bait , but usually either get stingrays(fun city) or small sharks...try fighting a fish against the tide..it really is an experience!

I've gone fishing numerous times (I've lost count..). Many of my friends at school are well... lets say, they're great at fishing and appear in the local paper many times throughout the year. I think it's a competition that they have between them

Bobby used to go deep sea fishing. Not really ever into sport fishing, I have a few pictures of fish from one of the magazines he got from sportsman's warehouse. Our pastor also goes hunting, and he has mysteriously learned how to preserve the elk heads when he brings down a bull (I don't know how he has it done, taxidermy?).

I've fished for over 35 years. Open water, and icefishing. Some years have been better than others as far as time availability is concerned. I do love it. It can be taxing on the wallet if you really get into it. Diligence in finances is key as far as that goes. however. I fish for panfish, bass, catfish, carp, walleye, and northern pike. Fishing season is almost upon us, Yeeha!

I've fished all over northern California. Living in Germany has been a unique experience as far as fishing goes. To get your fishing license here you have to attend a three week course that costs around 130 euros, including books. In the state of Hessen, where I live, there are no waters where you can fish without paying a fee. To fish in the Rhein river you have to pay a yearly fee of 25 euros. Most lakes will cost between 200 and 400 euros yearly. I'm a member of a club where I pay 70 euros a year. For that money I can fish at a stream and two man made fishing ponds. The reason for the high fees is because of the amount of people fishing. The rivers, streams and lakes have to be regularly restocked. Germany is a land about the size of California with over twice the population. I've fished in other countries here in Europe and the restrictions and fees vary.

The best experience I've had was at a rocky mountain lake in the Austrian alps. You had to hike two hours to get to it, but the trout in that lake were more than worth it. The lake isn't stocked for the simple reason that hardly anyone fishes there. The trout have little if any natural predators there, and they were not shy when you approached the water. There is a small hostel on the lake's shore, and as I started to fish the owner approached me. He asked if I could catch some fish for that day's menu. He explained to me that he would reward me and my family by cooking the trout for us, and the hostel's Austrian beer was on the house. Couldn't argue with an offer like that, so I agreed. I didn't use bait, but instead used a reflective lure. Scouts honor...I hauled in 17 trout within 2 hours. Needless to say the trout, spaetzle, spiced potatoes and the Austrian beer tasted excellent.

There is some old man that will set up a bunch of rods on a bridge that goes over a lake, and just run up and grab whichever one has a bite. It seems like cheating to me. I never understood how it could be fun. He will have about 5 at a time set up.
