Well, several of the trees are singed on the sides and/or have all foliage burned up to the height of the fire; can't really see the trees that might have burned down.

But to answer your question: density, bark, shape, and moisture content.

Energy lasers is probably not the first conclusion one should jump to...

I already explained how trees can show little-to-no effect.

Given the size of the laser a doctor would use and what the size of the area it is used on, the laser would have to be near the size of those buildings.

It would be easier to just throw something on the roof to catch the building on fire.

There is zero evidence for this conspiracy. You can't be serious...

My first impulse was to look up how fires burn, their patterns, what can influence them, etc.
