  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I would like to introduce myself by saying I am soooooo glad you are here! What a blessing for my family that my daughter found you. Before this forum there was a lot of turmoil while she was searching for a learning and sharing community online. I believe now, and have always professed, Christians should love one another. (BTW, I LOVE the name One Bread, One Body and I imagine the Saint Louis Jesuits do too!) However, there are "groups" out there that know so much about God I think they must be His royal advisors. I wonder how "our" Church survived 2,000 plus years knowing so little! Anyhow, those same groups who know so much created such havoc in our family I despaired for our serenity. Somehow along the way she found you. Thank you for being the real presence of Love for her online. What I have been praying for for many years has come to fruition through your love and prayers. She is now in RCIA and making her Confirmation soon! Yay Group! Every week for 5 weekend Masses and multiple weekday Masses I prayed for her to know and love Mother Church as I do. Did any of you EVER think you would be the answer to an obscure liturgical musician's prayer? Well you were, and are. Thank you.

Your love and graciousness shows through each and every post.

God Bless,
Donna

Welome! What a blessing to have a mom praying for her daughter! I know my own return to the Church was brought about in very large part to my own mom's many, many rosaries beggng for me to come home! God Bless you, Donna! And God Bless your daughter who helps me to be excited about the Faith through her enthusiasm!

Donna, I think I can speak for the OBOB mods, when I say: Welcome to CF! We're glad to have ya!

OBOB has grown so much in the past six months. Truly, our Lord is working in people's lives!
