First attempt, long ago.

This is still pretty rough. It was my first attempt and I actually got it published in some contest's anthology. I think it was just some scam. Still, I can't bring myself to edit it.


True Love

True love conquers all,
nothing can stand in its way.
True love can not be stopped,
true love lasts forever.
True love is an unquenchable fire
that all the seas of the world could not snuff.
True love marches in time,
with time,
without time,
throughout time.
True love has a price,
is more precious than life.
True love gives its life,
gives of its life,
gives up its life.
True love keeps giving,
feeds itself on giving.
True love inspires True love.
True love never fails.

I don't think that contest was a scam, or if it was, at least it chose one good poem. I especially like from "True love marches in time..." onwards. Wow, the rythms in that... yes, you could refine the poem still more, but I'd say this is an excellant start.
