  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So, what time do you get up and what does the first 30 minutes of your day entail?

Mine - if I don't hit the snooze button for 15 minutes :p - looks like this:

Get up (duh) at 6:30
Change DD's diaper/snuggle for a few minutes
Get shower
Put on my face/get dressed
Wake older kiddos

I get up anytime between 6:30 and 8, depending on what time I have class. My first 30 minutes consist of me running into every wall possible on my way from my room to the coffee maker. After the first half hour of being awake, I usually have a successfully brewed cup of coffee in my hand, and nothing else has been done haha.

Having pre-programmed my coffee pot for 4:445am my coffee is ready when I come out of the ladies room (my 1st stop) I get a cup of Truck Driver Stong Coffee & Head outside to my designated smoking area an enjoy two cigarettes and the view
(I live in the bend of a river-have a 4 mile driveway, but I digress) and then come in & turn on the HAPPY Mood music--"days like this" & "bright side of the road" by Van Morrisson get lots of play at my house-Then it's Time to watch usually Joseph Prince or Joyce Meyer (whichever is on) I tend/cook breakfast during the breaks & by the time that's off & the thrid cup of coffee is down an hour has passed.

I would need 3 cups of coffee, too, if I had to get up at 4:45AM! :dead:

Oh, and it isn't really coffee if it isn't Truck Driver strong is it? :D That's one thing I miss right now is my coffee. Good thing I like tea, too. lol

So many early risers!

My day begins anywhere from 5am - 3pm depending on the previous day/current schedule, the only difference it makes is whether I see anyone else in the house/if i'll be able to stop off at a shop or three on the way to grab food since i've more than likely forgotten to defrost leftovers for lunch.

Once the alarm has gone off I spent about 10-15 minutes lying in bed gearing up to get out from under the duvet. Sometimes i'll curl up and wonder whether it's worth getting up, but then someone will inevitably knock on my door asking whether i'm up and honestly that gets me out of bed swifter than greased lightning. My paranoia that they'll do what my mother used to do in order to get me up (cold water) is strong enough to overcome any desire to stay wrapped up in bed.

The remaining 20-15 minutes is then usually spent stumbling around finding clothes, which usually means tossing clothes all over the place whilst muttering about how there's never anything suitable right at hand.

The remaining time is spent gathering shower items, stumbling to the bathroom and then, inevitably, falling asleep for 5 or so minutes with a toothbrush in my hand and paste all over my top. I've been found in that position far too many times, it's not even funny.

I'm a very groggy waker, not usually chirpy until two hours have passed since the initial alarm and several naps have been had. Coffee doesn't wake me up, neither do energy drinks, or any of those magical items people recommend to get you energised. Just two hours of stumbling, blinking, and requesting people resist speaking to me until they've seen food swallowed, kept down and tea drunk.

I wake up sometime (hours vary each day) and jump out of bed. I turn on the computer than head for the ladies room. Then I'll have some fruit drink (my preference to coffee), check my mail, CF, FB and more. That pretty much eats up my 30 mins.

Lay in bed for the first fifteen minutes, check and reply to text messages, get up, let the dogs out while rushing around to get ready for school and then rush out the door to get to school in time.

During the summer months, I lay in bed for thirty minutes, trying to will myself to join the world of the living. Then, I end up staying in my pajamas and play video games.
