as if satan were flinging
dirt and despair

Soldiers with steel arms
and holes for hands
aimed up at me
on my christmas tree

So they...

shot for the chest
but hit a bulletproof vest
made from a lamb's fleece
designed by the Prince of Peace

Life...

Round and round
where do we go?
hit the ground
and you'll finally know

It's merry if you want it
and sad if you don't
it's a wonder to lose it
a disaster if you won't
