Actually, the ST original series was canceled, then years later the first movie came out. One or two more movies were made before the NexGen series hit the air. After that, the movies and the different series were going on at the same time.

But there is some super cool stuff there, including videos of the Firefly cast and Joss Whedon at conventions and stuff. It is HILARIOUS! Seriously, you should check it out. Good stuff.

Also, if you take note of my Avatar (I made it myself, the first Avatar I have ever made!) it advertises Serenity! In pure Jayne Cobb fashion. So if you want it for yourself too you can have it! Just save it to you computer.

I am currently revamping my website. It'll have a section devoted to Firefly and Serenity and hopefully some other cool stuff to go with it!

I'm looking forward to the movie as well! A former roommate turned me onto the DVD's and I was hooked onto a third Whedon show!

I'm going to see Serenity this Wednesday!! Thats right September 7th! My friend came 7th in a quiz on the British Browncoats Site and won 2 tickets.

I'm going as Kaylee, so on monday I'm getting myself some overalls and I'm tie-dyeing a vest top of mine. (It's too hot to wear long sleeves!)

My friend bought me and him a Jayne hat so he's going as Jayne, and the other 2 people who he knows are going as River and one hand of blue!

I promise! I'll post loads of pictures though of people in costume!

I'm so excited but also nervous I'm fine meeting whole crowds of new people, but I don't know these 2friends of his and they're his age (22) so I'm terrorfied. Not that 22year olds are scarier than 18year olds. I used to have this complete complex where I wouldnt even make an effort with people I thought wouldnt be interested in me, and although I'm over that I'm still worried they'll just see me as Luke's little mate!! It's SO SO stupid of me! PLUS I think the lass is the girl he likes, well women he's attracted to, I know he's not done anything about it, and I'm sure he's really looking forward to spending time with her, but naturally I'm not going to like her. He's a little protective of me, and I guess I see him in a sort of older brother sense (although most people didnt used to have a crush on their bro!) and therefore I'm determined not to like her!! I know I wont think shes good enough for him, however much I try. Or she'll be really nice and I'll be miffed off at her for not giving me a reason to dislike her!!

So my sister called me last night and said "I've got this tv series you have just got to watch."

So of course, I get all excited and ask what what

She says "It's called Firefly..."

And of course, I start to laugh and she gets very confused

My set has been out on lone for months and I just recently got them back. I'm watching an episode each Friday or Saturday in keeping with how the Sci-Fi channel is showing them so I can discuss the episodes with people in another forum who are seeing it for the first time.

Yeah, I have people that I would like to loan the DVDs to, but my hubby just can't let them go. He says "If they really want to see them they can rent them. They are just way too precious". I loaned the comic books to someone without him knowing and he got a little upset...hee hee hee
I'm trying to make as many Browncoat converts as possible before the BDM.
