Presumption of innocence is a *legal principle* that is it applies to *legal proceedings* like trials. It doesn't apply outside of the court system.

It is all about the burden of proof. To convict someone the government must *prove* they are guilty to get a conviction, and it is not up to defendant to *prove* they are innocent to avoid conviction.

I'm curious what crimes those "criminals" committed?

Hillary Clinton, it was stated by law enforcement that it would be difficult to get any type of conviction. Trump's DoJ appeared to also believe that as, despite being frequently told by Trump to bring charges against her, they never did. So I'm not sure what law you believe she should have been convicted for?

As for the rest, what laws -- specifically -- did they break? Why didn't Special Prosecutor Durham ever indict them, much less find any evidence they had broken the law?

It was the members of the Veritas Project who fired O'Keefe and accused him of spending money he should have not spent.
