As some of you may have noted, I sometimes have a bit of trouble with English. Most of the time everything goes fine, and I even get compliments. ((which make me very happy, so keep them comming. 
)) I learned English in highschool, and perfected it by daily use of the internet in roleplay, reading a lot in English and talking to English speaking friends.
Religion however, is not a topic I discuss that often, except in general terms. And in using this board, I've noticed a lot of the times I simply don't know the English word for something that I do or see.
My question of today is something that I would litterally translate as a 'bullet prayer', or a 'fire prayer'. Even I know that it doesn't sound right. *LOL*
What is the name for a quick prayer you send up in the middle of the day, mostly just a one sentence thing. A quick request to God, a quick offering of something, a quick word of gratitude.
'Thank You LORD'.
'Lord have mercy'
'Lord protect us'.. etc..
