Blessed One, could you ask Erwin to make the character database easier to search?? It's a nightmare trying to find characters on there now. I kept having to RE-LOG in to CF to get the search results!!!

i've asked him before but he said the search feature is causing problems for the system, so he scrapped it. The new search feature isn't as useful.. but i don't know whether it really isn't, i tried searching for a thread before, and i got it. But had to go into the cached file then press on 'full version' to get into the thread.

i've saved up Soiren and Xer's profiles.. so i'll just post them here.

Name: Soiren De'corle
Gender: female
Age: 22
Ability: able to use mana, but she does not have good control over it (except healing).
Appearance: Dressed in a white robe with a brown sash tied round her waist (at least, that is how she looks when she’s in Kharilin), Soiren has startling black eyes with a mane of blue black hair that flows over her shoulders.
Bio and personality: Coming from the capital of Sal Kadadin, Soiren has studied in Kharilin since the age of 16. She can be quite outspoken when it suits her, especially when she's around people that she feels comfortable with. Her sense of judgement over critical moments is not always correct, but at least she is in control of herself in dire situations (at times).
The white robe indicates healing, the major area that she has chosen, and the brown sash indicate history. She also has a little bit of knowledge about the spy network of her homeland.
Won't show frustration unless her day is really bad.

Name: Xer Sykline (yes, i devote my charater to my fav cars, guess wat they are haha)
Age: 22
Ability: Sword and the bow, with exceptional killing and hunting skills. Can do some mana (magic) with a 80% failure rate.
Histroy: A soldier of the army of Eyrel for about two years, before the boredom of discipline overtook him, and he left to become a travelliing swordsman for hire. Although born in Meu'sak, Rex often lacks the honour that the typical Eyrel populace hold.
Appearance: dark eyes, short brown hair
Personality: friendly, takes to others lead but will come out to take charge of things when everyone else is incapable.

Xer was originally my bro's character.. i'm not the car freak.

Although born in Meu'sak, Rex often lacks the honour that the typical Eyrel populace hold.

so, anyone got any ideas on where this is going? seems pretty random at the moment

We need a way to introduce the quest of the Silver Dragons for more human's to assist them. Not something I would think Vrain and Jodi would talk about right away instead they would be watching and gauging reactions of these strangers. What do you think?

yeah I agree, we should find a way of combining the dragon's war and the quest Xer and Soiren are on.

yeah, they were ferment's typo, so decided to leave the surname that way. At least it wasn't Skyline! now that wouldn't sound very fantas-ish with a modern connotation.

um, if Soiren and Xer were brought to the dwarves (ultimately), they would get drawn into it when the dragons start fighting. so what we need later are a couple of bad dragons..

ok, I tried to get things moving along. I agree blessed, we need a few baddies. someone controlling the direwolves perhaps? what if the direwolves were sent by someone to track down Xer and Soiren?

bingo! i was going to say the cultists arriving on the scene.. but not with the direwolf part.

the rest is for them to figure it out when there're more encounters. BUT, the cultists wouldn't want the sword yet. A broken Mexgardus is no use to them. Perhaps... this is just a test?

but they would want the sword even if it is broken, because wouldn't it be easier to take while it's just a normal sword than when it's mana resistant?

and the baddies have no way of knowing who are Xer and Soiren are with.

but they need the sword whole, unless they have a way to repair it themselves.

um.. improvise uh? ok, we'll say that they can repair the sword..

well yeah, why can't they repair the sword? not themselves, they would have to get someone else to repair it as well. but there's probably some evil dwarves somewhere, and unlike Xer and Soiren they aren't hindered by reluctance to use force to encourage participation

If I might make a suggestion or two...? We could have the direwolf that attacked the horse have been a renegade of a pack of them that are in the service of some of the evil dragons.... perhaps sent in to find a way into FireMist? We could easily have the depths of FireMist hold a secret of some sort. Something both the cultists AND the evil dragons wish to find....

I don't quite understand, are you saying that the secret of FireMist is the seal, and the evil dragons and cultists are searching for a way of breaking it?

yes maybe Elohim allowed the Silver Dragons to see the truth about Him and gifted them with the ability to navigate through the mists so they could be the first line of defense against such a thing happening.... The cultists could be duped into thinking it is their *god* that is imprisioned in the mountain?? The dragons and dwarves perhaps into thinking it is a powerful weapon or army to use? These are all just ideas I'm throwing out here.

from the 'Time of Trial' thread.. the cultists don't know where the imprisoned goddess is, but Rosyen, a particularly high ranking priestess does know of the location. But that location is actually about something else.. and we haven't figured what that something else is yet.

but it should even be something that the inhabitants of the mountains do not know about. Perhaps they know vaguely that something is hidden here somewhere, but they don't have an idea of what that is.

well I was kinda thinking of somehow getting everyone's quests to be the same, or join forces, something like that... eg for Xer to get mexgardus fixed he would have to help the dragons, etc etc.

quick question: is there a set age for mexgardus, or even a general estimate of its age?
