  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My favorite line from that movie is Marlin and Dory after they escape from the big mean scary fish with the little light thingy :

(swimming around happily and chanting) "No eating here tonight! No eating here tonight! Hey! No eating here tonight! You on a di-et!"

Hehe...that cracks me up just thinking about it! :D

I really enjoyed that movie myself... I thought it had some good learning in it. like you can't be to over protective, trusting people, and overcoming your fears.and coming out of that comfort zone and alowing others to stay by your side during your struggles.
I agree, George. It's also the story of the prodigal son...with a spin :) No matter what the son did wrong (telling his dad he hated him), the father's love never wavers. I think it's the best Disney movie ever :)

Oh, and Crush, the sea turtle is hilarious! My 5 year old has been running around the house saying " Righteous! Righteous!" about everything. That and "You so totally rock!" LOL. Kids!

Love, Heather

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

I love that movie! I have yet to actually hear the whale speech part all the way through because I am always laughing too hard to hear what Dory is saying!
Finding Nemo also rocks cause kids can quote every part of it (and they do!) without being pottymouthed!

"I am a nice shark, not a thoughtless eating machine.......Fish are friends, not food" Bruce the shark AKA "here's Brucey":) I love that movie!!!!!!!!! And I like the squishy part too. It's so funny though, it seems each of the creatures are in some kind of psychiatric program. For example, Marlin is obsessive compulsive with post tramatic stress syndrome, Dori has alzheimers, the sharks attend fish eaters anonymus, and Nemo has to overcome the disability of his lucky fin, and Marlin has to learn to let Nemo go and learn for himself. I just think it's humurous, being someone who works in the psych field myself. My altime favorite is the fish eaters anonymus though. :D Hisbloodformysins

I know what you mean!! I used to work at a womens substance abuse facility and just about all the clients were diagnosed with something or another. I reconized a lot in this movie. I think that's why I laughed so hard!! I love it at the end when the sharks bring Dory back from a meeting :D I didn't catch that the first time I saw it. It's hard to see it all in one viewing. The movie just wouldn't have been as good without Dory, she made it, I think!! I am so hoping my hubby buys me the dvd for my birthday or Christmas!!
