  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
Deuteronomy 4:29 “But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

For so long now, I've been striving to find God in everything. Ever since finding Him in Black Sabbath lyrics, clouds in the sky, and the loud people in dorms, I've been determined to never be around anything without noticing God. I'm so close; I'm seeing Him all over the place, but not quite everywhere! I'm closing out my Holy Spirit novena (9 days of prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit, just like the Apostles at the beginning of Acts), and I can feel that I'm coming closer to my goal of finding God everywhere, automatically! It's increasingly difficult to separate what does & doesn't talk about God; anymore, I hear Him in most any genre of music just as much as in Christian music or hymns; since I put a note in my dorm, asking "Have I prayed for them?", I've been finding God a lot more in everyone I meet; it's been incredible!

Please pray for all of us to see God in all of Creation, in all our aimless daydreams & frustrations, all the people we meet & crummy music they play; everywhere & everything, God is there--may we all have the grace & the justice to notice Him!
