Thanks to everyone who welcomed me here! I'm glad I'm not the only one who still has questions about Him and His word. Many things in the bible appear to be contradictory - and this is what confuses me more than anything. For instance, the bible says works alone will not be enough for Salvation. But then it says we need to do works to do His will.....???? See? Total contradiction lol. But, I think now I get what this means. And by the looks of things, this is going to be a lonnnnnnngggggggggggg journey for me. I hope I live long enough to understand at least some of these concepts.

As of late, I've been having alot of issues with Forgiveness. For instance, if someone does something abominable & heinous to someone you love....how could you possibly forgive them? I mean, let's put the Bible down for a minute and think about this with our HEARTS (not our minds). I'm fully aware that Jesus forgives me for all of my transgressions, but at the same time, my transgressions do not & never have involved hurting or abusing another person! Someone once told me that God equates ALL SIN as the SAME. I do NOT agree with this AT ALL!!! And THIS is what I have a BIG problem with. I don't expect any of you to have the answer to this - but just wanted to share with all of you what I'm struggling with right now.

If any of you experienced my hypothetical situation above, could YOU forgive such a person? And if you can, please tell me how you would go about doing this and....if you'd even WANT TO. Thanks to ALL of you for your hospitality and I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

God Bless You All! :crossrc:

Hello Lisa;

:wave: Welcome to CF. Just browse around the forums until you find an interesting one. Then jump in whenever you're ready.

As far as your question goes... That would be hard for me. I know of people who have forgiven their transgressors. Pope John Paul II forgave the man who attempted to assinate him. I've heard of murder victims families testifying against the dealth penalty for the killer. Right now all I can say is that I hope I would be able to give forgiveness.

On the main page, look under the Christians Only Section. There is a sub-section for Recovery. Possibly they can help you with an answer. If not there are a lot of other forums. Just please don't give up faith while searching. :clap:

In the meantime,...

Pax;
