  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm wondering if there is anything else I haven't thought of to help with my finances while finishing up 7-11 months of school.

Quick backstory Left my low paying part time pharmacy tech job ($14.50/hr) to try to keep up with my class that I didn't want to fail. Got a D which is failing in my medical Technology program so I have to retake it anyway. Anyway, the instructor got fired for being an awful teacher, but yeah still gotta retake it.

I am self employed now making roughly the same amount I did working part time I resell on eBay and I do delivery routes for Amazon and postmates. Part time job and or self employment is not enough with the amount of bills I have.

I also recently found out I am pregnant and my SO just got layed off another automotive job due to slow business. We live in a fire and hire at will state....

Anyway my bills $200 a month school $500 a month my half of rent, $30-60 phone bill, $200 my half of groceries, $36 a month dental, $50 debt collector (non negotiable), owe my SO $2300 back pay on rent and groceries, and $4500 to my grandfather repayment of an $8000 loan they got me out of college to pay himself my they tsister causeand move me close to my.job and out of his house and pay my debt to my school they thought I'd get a good job when in reality it wasn't a real job and only paid $13.75/hr. Didn't factor any baby costs yet.

And I'm sick all the time! I have severe morning sickness and delivery routes in 100+ deg heat still not making enough is awful.

I've started to apply for jobs in my field to see if they will hire me yet but Im not sure because alot of them want you to have your clinicals done and certification. I go to clinicals in 3 months, but that's too long.

I'm just like what can I do to get a decent savings until I land this first food paying job in my field after I get through the remaining months of this program. Also how am I suppose to do anything with a newborn.

Looking for helpful suggestions not scolding....

Also my credit is bad in 520 range due to medical bills. I have about $36,000 in student loan debt already from fasfa, not sure how people that go to nursing school and grad school take out 200,000 or even 100,000 I can't get a loan to save my life.

To those wondering this is my version of graduate/ nursing school. I am a medical Technology student with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry (already obtained). I can't be a medical Technologist (the person in the hospital running all your medical tests) without finishing this one year program, my externship (clinicals), and sitting for the national ASCP exam.
