  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Finals are over! :)

I've had some expierence with "finals" in highschool but this was the first time I've had to go through finals aka this exam is worth half of your grade and you must do well on them or be driven out of college by an angry mob with torches and pitchforks type final.

1 down, 7 to go! (good thing my school doesn't go on the quarter system..)

How has it gone for you folks?

Blitz! Congratulations. I am a sophomore but still, ugh! I have been done since the 6th (yay for me!) I can relate to the angry mob, I go to an engineering school but I am not in engineering. I actually am holding down two degrees (biology and psychology with a premed option and chem minor) and thus people in my situation (non engineering...) are kinda expected to overcompensate for them taking up space in the school and not going into the focus of it. Meh.

And this is how we know God is good, eventually finals end.

I was done on the 15th. I made one C and four B's. I was disappointed with the C, but it was for my online course and I had to be out of town for a week and missed some assignments. My professor for the online class wasn't very understanding, but the others were, so I did ok.

My last final was thurs the 15th!.Normally i would not be so happy for a semester to be over as i am with this one..But i started out the semester with Strep tonsilitis for the first month of school..yuck that was bad..then to top it off i was taking 19 hours of senior classes and doing research for my practicum!..But all of it was worth it because today i found out my grades for this semester...1 C 3 B's and 3 A's...now one semester left before i can graduate ...and go on to graduate school...my work is never done..hehe

lol!
I'm ashamed to say that I am already guilty of belittling one of my non-engineering roommates into switching from physics to double majoring in physics and math.
What can I say? Misery loves company. :sorry:

Yep, I've been done a little over a week by now, too. The dis-pre test was particularly easy, too. I was worried about doing well, since we'd had an unexpected professor change in the middle of the sememster, and no one, not even the new professor, was entirely sure what we needed to study for the final. So I'm not sure if that's why, but he ended up canceling the final and giving us all A's on it. It even gave me extra time to get ready for the next final...

I don't think I've gotten the results back, though. It's quite possible they're waiting for me back in my mailbox at the campus... Oh well, I know I've got an A in at least a couple of classes, hopefully a couple of the others, and I'm pretty sure I have at least one B (from conducting... I never could get the actual conducting down well enough...), so I suppose that's not too bad.
