Going to the PI?

I was stationed down there, but at the Naval Hospital which supported Parris Island. Semper Fi and focus on those graduating and/or graduated. If they can, you sure will, too! You've got God with you. Good luck and fair winds and following seas. HMC/FMF

PS ... That stood for Chief Hospital Corpsman/Fleet Marine Force. Get used to us, we're your docs out there!

Oooorah!!!!!!!!! I am glad to see ou are going to serve your country...I am cuurently stationed in south carolina as a United States Marine..... I am glad you are going to do boot in San Diego(thats where boot camp is) and Camp Pendelton is where MCT and a small part of boot camp is.... I know your in DEP(delayed entry program), and the recruiters are telling you how much fun boot camp is.... Marine Boot camp is the hardest 3 months of ur life.They will challenge your mind and your body..They will pit you against ur fellow recruits to see if you will get mad at each other or still be a team to get the mission done, they say that the DI's arent allowed to hit ya nowadays, which is a lie, I saw a couple people in my platoon get slammed. The first 52 hours are awful because you dont get any sleep....Do you know what company you are going to be in? I was in Charlie Company.... anyways good luck...email me if you have any other questions....

Where you going? Camp Pendelton?

I am supposed to go July 11th to Camp Pendelton but am starting to have second thoughts so I am thinking of putting it off until next January.

thanks, yeah im either doing rifleman or reconnaissance (Force Recon) and yeah im going to be at pendelton

I wanted to become a Military Police person but they say I wont be old enough after i am done with basic training which sucks. so i am going to try to reschedule my basic training day.

I wish you well too jmhirn. You should be able to talk to your recrutier and get your date changed as long as it doens't affect the DEP rules. You can only be in the DEP for one year. But best of luck and Semper Fi.
