Tried to get one in April and my claustrophobia took over. They kept trying to get me to go out of town to get an open MRI but with everything going on, it was difficult. I finally talked them into giving me something to calm my nerves and they gave me a lorazepam. I still had issues but got through it. I have been dealing with medical issues since February when I got pneumonia. Could you please pray that the MRI shows good results so I can get away from this stuff for awhile? I’d really appreciate it. By the way, that pill gave me a hangover! I guess they are highly addictive but I did not see the attraction myself.

Thank’s guys. :praying:

Praying for healing and a good report.

Heb 6:10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

I got an MRI seven years ago to convince the doctors my back actually needed surgery. Which it did, and the MRI showed it, and the surgery totally fixed it. But it was an old closed tight MRI (like a canon) and they made me lie absolutely flat. It was so painful as I was in pain in any but a fetal position. I cried and moaned, trying to be brave. A few days later I had the surgery and the pain was gone.

My last MRI was an open one, so comfortable. And the lungs are OK, no change. I had an Iodine contrast MRI, where the Iodine feels hot initially but the after effect was what seemed like an energized day.

I'll of course pray for you.

Gracious Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus,
I pray for healing for Michie’s hangover, and a good report from the MRI, and help her to get away from the doctors for awhile. You know what she needs, both physically and emotionally, and my sister in Christ has had enough. I pray that she may be given relief from medical problems and something more spiritually productive be given to her instead. Better to be out in Your creation than in a cold institutionalized box.
In Christ’s Name,
Amen

Same problem here with the MRI. My throat just closes up and I can't breathe! Did the lorazepam really work?

It worked enough to help get you in the mindset to endure it. I was still uncomfortable but I could endure it. The pill gave me quite the hang over though.

That contrast they use for cat scans makes me so sick. They used a contrast in the MRI but it was different than from the CT scan.

Mine was Iodine as opposed to whatever they used in the past. And it made me wonder if I had an Iodine deficiency that got temporarily corrected.

That very well could be.
