Has Final Fantasy X-2 been released yet? I think in Japan it has, but has it been released in English version yet?

I'm really looking forward to it! Australia won't have it for a really long time!

Can anyone tell me what they rate it? Mwa ha ha ha... I can't wait!!!! :D

It sounds cool in some ways, although the increased fanservice on Yuna and Rikku is unnecessary and stupid. If you thought Tifa from FFVII looked like fanservice, these two will make her look like an angel of modesty.

It really annoys me because it's going to be the first time a mainstream RPG has a female lead character-and she has to be made into eye candy for the fanboy masses. GRR >.<

I'm playing it too, just started Chapter 3. My boyfriend left it at my apartment and I just started playing it one day. I've never played a FF game before, believe it or not! I'm more of a Myst-Alice-Resident Evil type gamer. Anyways, FF X2 seems pretty cool so far. It's really user-friendly, especially for someone like me who hasn't played many games like this. I don't know if many FF fans like it, my BF doesn't seem too into it, but then again, he got a gazillion games for Christmas along with an X-Box.

OK, now that you cf gamers have had a chance to play it...what combos of dress spheres work best for you? I pretty much play Paine = Warrior, Rikku = Theif, and Luna either songstress or gunner...

I pretty much have mine like yours. When they mastered those, I went back to "easy" places and made Yuna a white mage, Rikku a black mage, and Paine a Samurai, and built up those abilities. I also got the alchemist dressphere, I haven't decided what to do with that yet, sometimes I equip Yuna with it. My strategy right now on harder missions is to have Yuna as a songstress first, so she can sing to protect the party through the battle, then I change her into a white mage so she can heal the party while they attack.

BTW, does anyone know how to dispose of the last fiend in the thunder mountains plane mission (Ch.4)? I have tried everything and keep getting killed. It's immune to most everything and the attacks are brutal.

I agree, they made it so asinine when it had such potential. You have to follow the book slavishly like a recipe to get a decent ending, and nothing about sidequests in mentioned in the game so unless you have the book you know nothing about most of the oportunities to get better equipment and those all important completion percentages!

I've played every FF to mastery and never had to use a book - but this one, forget it. So much potential wasted to make an extra 20 buck per sale grrrr

ive never used a book either. i havent played every FF game but im told that FFIV was one of the best. Iv only played FFVII and up. i do pretty well without the book. my brother insists that i use the game shark to defeat seymore at gagazet. but if i do it takes all the joy out of playing the game. im still trying to beat him but im getting there.

Yeah, it's been a challenge, but a worthwhile one, to beat all of them without aid of the book, but it's just ridiculous how they set up this game so that you can play it without the book, but you'll not get any of the bonuses (because no hint is mentioned of them) or either of the extended endings (of which there are two). Completely ridiculous. I was outraged and I wrote them a letter about my extreme disapointment with their commercial greed but they haven't responded yet. grr (again)

I have no idea. You can move about a bit more freely in the airship this time, as you start with it. But it's the same movement format as the airship at the end of X so, it's point and click and you're by a save sphere really. I loved the world map, but the lack of it is the least of one's disapointments in X2. I thought it would be fluffy, but I thought it would be an okay game, but it's not a game (not if you want to see the good or perfect ending) it's a movie/type/thing/that the book is used to navigate and manipulate. There's almost no play value because if you don't use the book the levels get so hard so fast that you will die because you're meant to take all these detours that the book guides you through but that aren't mentioned in the actual game at all. In otherwords, if you aren't reading along in the book, you will race through the game and probably get you butt kicked on higher levels because you weren't directed by the game to do anthing else or go anywhere else, but you should have gone and done those other things (because the game basically assumes that you have purchased the book). Not to stroke myself, but I'm a FF pro, and I am just disgusted with this one. But of course I'm playing it, you'll understand why when you see the end of X.

well all i can do is play and see for myself.only time can tell. in fact im in a state where i would consider myself a pro as well. My dad was the one who introduced me to FF and i thought he was the best. used to sit down next to him while he played and watched. then when i started playing i realised that i was doing better than him. but all this talk about FF-x2 what im really concernecd with. when you play you have to go through missions???
