A few years ago I prayed to God to help me with my temper. A few nights later I had a dream. In this dream I had to fight off a demon that was threatening to possess a child. I went to a church and ask the pastor what was needed for this fight and he said I needed holy water blessed by God himself, the priest also told me where to find this holy water. I went to that place and found an old man sitting by a small spring. I told him of what I needed and he gestured toward the spring water. I took some with a bottle that the old man gave to me. I went back into town to the house where the child lived and found the demon, a large red demon, hiding in the basement of the house. When I was there a thought entered my head, knowledge that I had to cut a red ribbon to defeat this demon. I threw the water at the demon causing him to retreat and then opened a dresser drawer to find the red ribbon. I then cut the red ribbon and the demon disappered with a scream of rage. when I looked to see if the child was ok I found that the child was me at the age of 5. The old man from the spring showed up and I asked him if the child would be ok, he only smiled. I then walked out of town with the old man along side of me. I then knew in my heart that the old man was God. Since then I have had complete control of my temper, except when I have been drunk, which I do not do any more. I have felt calmer then ever before. Even though I still feel the demon inside of me, it no longer has control over me.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So glad that He has saved you from your temper. I too was saved by grace from alot of rage that was inside of me although in my case it happened gradually.

I struggle with alot of rage sometimes. I am a Christian. I struggle with pornography ,too. My husband also struggles in these areas, and is a Christian. Do you think that there could be a connection? Can demons possess,or oppress , Christians if they struggle with pornography ? Does looking at porn open a door way to demons ? Please pray for us, that God will set us free from any darkness. Thank you so much.God bless.

There are many instances recorded in the Scriptures of people being are under the power of demons.
How carefull we are to secure our houses with bolts and locks to protect our property and our lives from evil men; but we seldom think of the evil angels who are constantly seeking access to us.
Satan, the god of this world is a demon. And he is seeking to drag the whole human race into the depths of degradation, and the mission of Christ to set men free from his power. Satan's influence is constantly exerted upon men to distract the senses and control the mind for evil. Through his temptations he leads men to worse and worse evils, till utter depravity and ruin are the result.
The only safeguard against his power is found in the presence of Jesus Christ, man's Deliverer. The scriptures show that Christ has absolute control over demons. Christ Spirit will develop in man all that will ennoble the character and dignify the nature. It will build man up for the glory of God in body and soul and spirit.
There are multitudes today under the power of evil spirits. All who willfully depart from God's commandments are placing themselves under the control of Satan. Many people tamper with evil, thinking that they can break away whenever they desire; but they are lured on and on, until they find themselves controlled by a will stronger than their own. They cannot escape its mysterious power. Secret sin or master passion may hold them a helpless captive.
The Gospel brings deliverence, and through the transforming grace of Christ, power is received to deliver us from our sins. Obedience to God is liberty from the thraldom of sin, deliverance from human passion and impulse. Man may stand conqueror of himself, conqueror of his own inclinations, conqueror of principalities and powers, and of the "rulers of the darkness of this world," and of "spiritual wickedness in high places."
