  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This has been stressing me out a lot lately, so I thought I would share with you in hopes that you might lift it up in prayer.

My fiance and I work for a contract security company (at different places), the building where he works has decided to change security companies (leaving many of the guards without jobs), he, and a few others, have been asked to stay, but he will need to switch over to the other company. So far, this new security company has treated the existing employees extreme disrespect, they are asking him to show up for training when they say, despite the fact he already works at this building and is obligated to be there.

His boss really likes him and knows that he is getting a bum deal, so he is looking for an assets protection position with the company (not contracted).

We got a call yesterday from a friend in our small group from church, she has a friend who works in the Loss Prevention department at another large company, and is intersted in hiring him.

He called and set up an interview for the assets protection job on wednesday, and is filling out an application at the new security company today.

I guess I am just asking that you could all pray that he either a. gets the job with loss prevention, or b. keeps his job working security without being treated badly

I worry much more than him, so this is stressing me out quite a bit, thanks in advance for any prayers you have to offer  :prayer:

Thank you both for your prayers, Josh had his job interview today, and it went pretty good. I hope we hear back from them soon. I am so nervous and worried about this, I need to just trust God, that whatever happens will be for his glory. Please pray that I am able to calm down about this and trust God!

Thanks- Jill
