Hello all, i was just wondering how many people/if any people around here play FFXI. I recently bought it, and i'm trying to find someone to introduce me to the ropes, and give me a helping hand.
I don't know what world i'm in, or how to tell you thou. I'm a newb.
Tell me how to find out and i will tho Just trying to find someone to play with, its not that easy to do online. I had heard that the game had/has a wonderful community, but i've seen no evidence of such except for 2 people (out of about 200). Hopefully see you in the game!

I don't feel like paying monthly for a game, but I heard that it is pretty good. I don't have it right now.

well, if you can find someone else who wants to play that you know pretty well, good friend or whatever, you can split the cost with them! Thas something i thought of meself, and its a cool thought!

I don't have it..and probably won't. I have enjoyed the FF series, but think that Square has gotten greedy. I will not pay monthly to play a video game.

i agree, Square has gotten REALLY gready, however, a good game is a good game. So far, what i've played has kept me pretty happy, and the more you get into the game, the more you can really make the character YOUR character. sub-classing, changing your main job if u want, all of that! its just kina coo. I used to play it, but it took up too much of my time. I don't think it's really greed here. You have to think about how much maintenance they have to do on all their servers and all the updates. It is a MMORPG after all. Just be happy it isn't $20 a month like some have been in the past.

In all honesty, I want to play this game SO BAD. But I know it will never happen, so I'm not even going to get excited about it.

I'll be able to play Ragnarok Online soon again anyway...

why exactly will it never happen? need to upgrade/update your computer? not good enough internet? not enough money?

I might (that's a MIGHT) get FF XI after I get hired at one of the many places I applied at for a job. It's just that I tend to play a ton of games, and paying for one of them might be rough. I'll see what happens though, cause you do make a good point how it's not ultra expensive per month.
