CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I came home and cried the first time my GP mentioned the 'fertility specialist'... it is a really scary thought. BUT I am glad I went, and after a while I felt so positive about being able to do something...
that there is nothing serious going on. That the FS will be able to give you some simple help to concieve!

We just saw a fertility doctor last week. In fact this morning my husband had his sperm analysis/mobility test. So we'll see. I actually posted about our appt in my blog if you want to read it.

I wonder why I am being tested for diabetes...are all 21 year old females tested?
no - but it is a symptom of PCOS.
Insulin Resistance does not equal diabetes
IR messes with your hormones which causes you not to ovulate.

I think there's still a lot of confusion and controversy about the causes of PCOS and its links with diabetes. Some doctors think PCOS (or, more specifically, insulin resistance) can be a sign of pre-diabetes. I have PCOS, but my blood sugar is fine. I prefer to keep going to my endocrinologist, to be sure that doesn't change.
