I was home alone yesterday. At times that is nice in small doses but I miss David when he's at work and I'm home. He brought me a dozen roses yesterday, it was the anniversary of our first face-to-face date. He's such a sweetheart.

How's LV? The weather good? One of the guys I work with comes to LV one week a month. He's a millwright and they are writing a training manual. I guess their training center is in LV. I told him I had a girlfriend that lives there.

Temps are mild, even cool at times, but I love this time of year; much better than the shake and bake summers.

We are doing great. We got some snow here today. Just enough to cover the ground and make the roads slippery. David and I went to the beach today. They've done some beach replenishment at one of our beaches. We walked on the boardwalk for a bit but it got so cold we had to defrost in the car My Mom had us over for dinner tonight

That sounds lovely to get a whiff of sea air. I haven't been to the beach so far this summer, whereas when I was a kid we lived at the beach all summer long.

We're all good here, thanks, Dawn. The kids are doing well and I guess for me, it's a time of letting go some as they become more independent. My eldest has a little home of his own in a lovely little place out in the country.....very pretty and serene. I couldn't help laughing though, when he said he had his stereo pumping one day with the sub booming, and Noise Control showed up and said his was the first call out they'd had there in 15 years.

I wish I could just call into my parents' place, but they live hours away from here. Great that you can see your mum, Dawn.
