  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

 hello to all my brothers and sisters in christ, I pray Gods blessing on your lives. The topic today is about christian fellowship, do we really know what the meaning of the word fellowship? please express your understanding to this subject, maybe then we can all understand and help provoke each other to love and care for one and other

Hi Lovelyst,
Fellowship encompasses a lot. From my experience of it, and from my knowledge of it I see it as sharing the life of Christ as the body of Christ. It doesn't have to be some super-spiritual experience or take place in a church building. Most of the 1st century church fellowship I've read about (in Acts and in the NT letters) centres around daily activities like mealtimes. I think the best times of fellowship I've had have been sharing a meal with good Christian friends, not being afraid to be who we are and enjoy each others company. Hope that gets ur post off to the start it deserves!
