That is cool. I used to camp a lot as a kid. My parents had a trailer. We travelled most all the east coast. We have a camper set up on a leased lot at one of the marinas at a lake here, bout a 40 minute drive, its nice, don't have to worry about looking for a camping place
I know - us either and my parents even live more than a 12 hour drive away - they cancelled plans to come visit us over memorial day because of the gas pricesWe love to drive, but this year with the gas I don't think we will be doing much driving.
Same for us. We might not venture far out of state. We love to drive, but this year with the gas I don't think we will be doing much driving.
It was wonderful. We may never be allowed that expense again and if not, I will always remember. We were gone a month. Saw most of the National Parks in the Southwest and up to Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone. We had temperatures of 107 in San Antonio, TX to 37 up in S. Dakota. It even snowed up there![]()
We have a beautiful country. There are a lot of wide open spaces. I'm not used to that in DE.That would be awesome to do. We always wanted to drive across country and see the sites.

I haven't travelled much up north. I've been to NY but not anything further northeast. I'm more of a southern/southwest gal. I love heat and dry weather.
Did you go across the Bay Bridge Tunnel? That's pretty cool. The further south you go, the nicer the people are.
