I'm choosing to talk about this in OBOB in fellowship with you all who have in some cases been long time CF friends. I really do not care to venture outside of this specific forum for any reason, and many of you know why.

I was laying down to go to sleep last night after watching more of the GOP Convention. Kai's cute speech about her grandpa, JD's awesome speech, just a good night. I've been all in on Trump since 2016. But last night when I was in that in-between phase of sleep, I heard 5 words spoken that made me jump out of bed: Beast, Head Wound, Miracle, Careful. And the image of Trump's bloody face with his fist raised to the sky with the American flag in the background came to my mind and stayed stuck there for some time. I immediately opened my Bible to Revelation 13 to read about this again. The dragon whom the world worships gave power to the beast, who has the mouth of a lion, who received what appeared to be a fatal head wound, but he miraculously recovered and all the world marvelled. He was given power for 42 months, almost the term of the presidency. My heart started racing. It's an absolute miracle that Trump, appearing to be shot in the head, was only grazed on the ear, and he rose triumphantly, as the whole world calls it a miracle. Many people are seeing a different Trump now, and many who weren't before are now sympathetic to his side of things. The world's leaders released positive statements about Trump, hoping and "praying" for his protection and healing, calling for unity. The Democrats are toning down some of the rhetoric, and turning on Biden. Trump is smashing him in the polls.

And then the "mouth of a lion" caught my attention and I remembered Trump's sometimes foul mouth, and I remembered how Donald Trump Jr on several occasions last night called his father a lion, said that he had the heart of a lion.

Now, the whole world doesn't love and worship Trump (yet???? ever???? I'm just sharing my experiences from last night), and I can't see a world in which the LGBT and abortion Leftist Dems are the actual good guys (my opinion), but this shocked me to my core and I thought I would tell you all about it. I couldn't sleep for quite some time.

It's probably just overthinking. Yes, there are some parallels but then just because Trump has a potty mouth doesn't make him a lion.

The idea that the Democrats are the good guys in all of this is too much for me. I just can't go there. I am willing to contemplate BOTH parties being the bad guys, or the Republicans as maybe a bit less bad, but not the Democrats as the good guys. Non-starter for me.

I think if we had seen Trump's brains splattered AND THEN HE RECOVERED I would say you must be on to something. But since it was an 'almost' but still a 'not quite' I suspect that nobody is marveling that he recovered. Perhaps marveling that he turned his head just enough. But that's different.

I'm not saying everything is good. The times get scarier every day almost. I don't know if it is apocalyptic bad or merely civil war bad or eventually passing bad. I'm just thinking it's time for me to be ready, and to share the good news more than I have, and to start cramming for the final whether that is a second coming or my personal someday demise. Maybe Maranatha.

Revelation 13 says the wound was fatal, then healed. Trump was just nicked, basically; not a fatal wound at all---it didn't even appear to be fatal. So while disturbing, I don't think your image gives any truth to the idea that Trump is the beast.

Yeah, probably 50+ years ago. Nowadays, the only party that protects the farmers will be the American Solidarity Party, but sadly, no one will vote for them. I will probably vote for Peter Sonski in 2028, once 2024 is over.

The Idea from Chesterton and Belloc of Distributivism is prime for that. It is a rather speculative economics and I don't think the ASP is committed to it. Which is fine. The goals of Distributivism are good but since it has only been tried in the Shire I'd rather it not be actual economic policy.

All I know is that the ASP supports worker rights, which is good. I am not good at economics though. Does this Distributivism take the best of both types of economies (capitalism and socialism)?

It’s kind of agrarian/shopkeeper/maker kind of stuff where small producers own the tools needed for their production.

That's the thing. The Scripture says "seemed" or "appeared" to be a fatal wound. Initially people thought he was shot dead in the head. Tonight at the convention Trump talked in detail about how everyone in the crowd thought he was dead, and that it was a miracle he survived. He spoke about how they thought it was a fatal head shot, but he "rose." I also note that it was his right ear, and tonight I remembered Peter striking the right ear off in the garden when they came for Jesus. The devil makes a mockery of everything godly, twists it all up.

I'm as conservative as anyone and I don't want Trump to be the antichrist and I have wanted him to be reelected this whole time, but I can't shake what I heard that woke me and what I was lead to remember, to read, to see, and to understand. I'm not saying I'm right. I'm hoping I'm not, actually. I'm just heartbroken, nervous, and honestly more mind screwed than anything right now. It's all so strange.

Yep, until Jesus returns, or we pass away and meet Jesus, though the latter is 50-60+ years away for us. At least humans do not live 150 years. That would suck. Imagine how woke and divided the world would be in 2150 AD, if Jesus did not return by then.
