Christianity profoundly sharpens ones thinking.
It sharpened my thinking so much that after reading much of the NT, there is no way I could ever become a Christian. I consider it untrue and harmful. It just boggles my rational mind to no end as to why on earth would educated, intelligent people ever accept such fables, myths and legends as truth. What it does reveal to me is the people who do believe it is true seem to have a real problem telling truth from fantasy.
As I said, if immaterial things are "nothings," then your thoughts (which are immaterial) are nothings, and therefore, I would have no reason to take them seriously. It was meant as an ostensibly lighthearted retort which, in reality, carries a lot of weight in regard to your worldview.
And since your "retort" refers to the immaterial. It is quite apparant that the Triune God (whatever that is) is just as immaterial which in all reality has everything in common with non-existence. That said, it is atheism that is the more logical view of the world. Isn't reality a drag sometimes Ms A. Believer?
