• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a friend I love very much, but I feel I'm being pushed away, I don't think he means to. But he found some new friends and a new place and I feel like I'm being left in the dust. The new place he goes to its just a bunch of drama and I dunno, I feel its bad for him to be there. I don't want to lose his friendship but I can't help if I didn't cling to him he will let me go and I'll have no friends! Maybe I'm just too needy. Or maybe its time for us to move apart, I hope not. Or maybe its best I move on. Guess nothing last forever.

I would tell you to back off. If you have to cling to him, You don't have him. If you love him as you say you do, then let him go.

By letting him try his wings, you may or may not get to have him.

Yes, something do last forever, its called love.

Maybe you should search the word love.

freedom, joy, peace, life, growth, friends,

True love is forever: That is the love of Jesus Christ. He loved you so much he gave his life so that you may have eternal life.

If this guy does not love you that much he is not worthy of you.

Reading your Bible can change your life only for the better. Read the NT anyway. It is interesting and has so much just plain common sense, it is a good way to live your life whether you ever accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. Read the Bible and you will learn a new meaning for love and life.

May God be on your side.

Kaiya,

Do what the Lord's Voice is telling you in your heart, call upon Him and He'll alone Deliver your heart and mind through Christ Jesus Our Lord. Your own heart-ache deliverances will be your friends deliverance too - he needs love too. Just turn to His Voice, He Loves You and even your friend. Many times it's times for God to save both parties, trust Him to do this - look for His Face in the midst of your struggles, He's there for He's the One Who Made You.

Be patient with your friend,.....as God is being patient with you.
God's Love is what you both need, trust His Voice in your heart, He loves both of you - and none the less, God is no respecter of persons.

Cling to Your Heavenly Daddy and let His Voice in your heart advise you further!!!

Your in my prayers to hear The Lord Voice!

Peace,
Connie

pray about it.....let God work it out for you and give this concern to him.Don't stress about it or worry about it ...it doesn't help any at all and it's not good for you. Don't try to force it to happen.Test this guy......by not calling him and don't chase after him and don't try to make him see you. Kind drop outta site for a while............and see what happens. He may call you and he may not.
He also may not be the one God wants for you....something to think about. This guy may have come into you life for a season( a period of time) or a reason....or maybe even a lifetime. Only time will tell.

Of all the things in life, only God is a constant. Friends come and go, as you said, and life in general moves on.

You don't know if your friendship is in danger, or if he just wants to spend some time with other people too. Because you consider him your only friend, you might be overreacting. Sometimes friends just need to cool off for a while.

Work on your relationship with God. If possible, try to meet new people (I know, easier for some, much harder for others). Make some friends or participate in an activity. By dividing your attention between different things, you might gain a different perspective, and you will be able to calm down and lessen your dependence on this friend.

Just remember that even if your friend wants to move on completely, God is always there for you, and that's all that matters.
